GPS enabled cars
Just like GPS enabled in mobile phones, we can see GPS enabled in cars that can be used as an automotive navigation system. Linking the GPS enabled car with a mobile app can track and detect the location of the car.
Just like browsing history functionality in browsers, the next gen smart car would have a feature that can record travelling history of the car. By using GPS, the smart car can automatically mark the start location and destination. It can also record the travelling time, travelling distance, traffic density, fuel consumption and travelling route.
Just like autopilot feature in aeroplanes, we can expect driverless cars in near future.
Google is already in the process of developing a prototype for the driverless car. This feature will be enabled when driver felts unconscious that helps in preventing accidents especially while driving during nights.
By using the automotive navigation system, the passenger can set the destination and can enable the driverless feature to reach the destination on time.
This driverless feature will control the speed of the car based on the traffic. It will also respond to sudden interruption with high accuracy.It will also respond to the traffic signals.
Seat belt notification
The future cars will have a seat belt notification. Putting seat belt is not only a safety measure. It is also a mandatory rule in many countries. The car will give you a warning until every passenger wears seat belt.
Dual engine car that utilises solar energy
Soon we can see cars that use solar energy during daytime and diesel or petrol during nights.
A battery will store the solar power during daytime. It will be used to run the car. After completion of solar energy, the car will automatically run on diesel or petrol engine.
Birds eye view capacity
The smart car will have Birds eye view capacity that can recognise the damaged roads, speed breakers and sharp turns.
The inbuilt Telescopic lenses can see the objects that are very far, whereas, the built-in sensors can identify damaged roads speed breakers and sharp corners.
The Alert Mechanism in the smart car can notify you with a warning if it detects any of the above cases.
Let’s say you’re going on a long ride and fuel is about to complete. You don’t know how far you have to travel to reach fuel station. Your smart car can tell you where is the next fuel station. Implementation of this feature can be possible if your car is GPS enabled with maps functionality.
Apart from fuel stations, the smart maps can inform you about nearest hotels, restaurants, service stations hospitals and many more.
The smart maps can also interact with the driver. Example, due to a sudden emergency we may need to go the hospital while travelling. In that case, if the driver asks for the nearest hospital the smart maps not only identifies the nearest hospitals but it also informs the driver about the time it takes to travel, the distance, the rating of the hospital, and the available services in the hospital.
The driver can select the best available Option, which fulfils the immediate requirement. Alternatively, the driver can ask smart maps to navigate to one of the best available options.
The smart maps give directions to the driver to reach the destination place in the nearest possible route.
